Apple Crisp - sort of...

My craving for apple pie has been partially solved this evening! I had some granny smith apples calling my name so I decided to make the filling and topping for this apple pie recipe on

Instead of baking in a 9-inch pie crust, I buttered a small casserole dish, dumped in the apples, and baked them for 20mins before putting the topping on. Once I put the topping on I baked it for another 25 minutes. Then broiled for about 2mins to crisp up the top a little bit more. Probably wasn't necessary!
